With the rapid expansion of inofrmation across the Internet, various serach tools have been developed to assist people in finding the right information with less time. This page is developed to show how to best utilize current serach engines that are available over the Internet. According to two terms (for example, broad term- "horseback riding" and specific term- "michel foucault"), 9 major search engines were tested based on their default(standard) search setting. The test results are primarily based on the number of sites each tool retrived with and without quotation mark.

Searching Tips:

• Use advanced searach mode rather than default setting.
• Always use quotation mark to narrow down your search.
• Get yourself familiar with Boolean serach terms.
• Searching information over the Internet is still not a SCIENCE, but an ART.
